Those beautifully decorated stores, twinkling lights, bespoke signs, point of sale materials, promotions, huge Christmas trees and thousands of decorations certainly get shoppers in the mind-set for Christmas spending. But have you ever considered the logistics of getting them there?
Every year marketing and events companies, PR agencies and production houses are pulling out bigger and more elaborate displays to entice shoppers. These have been in production for months already, and SAE has been working closely with agencies to ensure that they are stored in pristine condition and delivered throughout the UK to a very tight timescale.
SAE were delighted to be charged with the logistics for large scale commercial Christmas decorations on behalf of two of the UK’s biggest retailers for the 2017 festive season.
The sizes of the displays were no problem for SAE’s dedicated warehouse and the specialist handling required was easily met by their expert team. Due the scale of the job and the vast number of stores that were to be decorated, SAE brought in their specialist vehicles and fulfilment teams.
To minimise disruption to customers, the majority of the work was completed during the night so required very specific delivery timings. Throughout the UK network, Christmas decorations and props were successfully delivered, following understandably rigid protocols.
Both the commissioning agencies and end customers were extremely happy with the work undertaken by SAE logistics and with the stunning end result.
